The Bosphorus strait's importance lies in the fact that it is a significant shipping route that links the Black Sea with the world's oceans. Known as Bogazici in Turkish, it connects the Black Sea with the Marmara Sea and Dardanelles Strait.

Two views of my local park...

El Caminito del Rey is a walkway, pinned along the steep walls of a narrow gorge in El Chorro, near Ardales in the province of Málaga, Spain. The walkway had fallen into disrepair and was partially closed for over a decade. The walkway is 1 metre (3 ft) in width, and rises over 100 metres (330 ft) above the river below.

This first collection was taken with a Nikon D810. The difference in colour and data content is perceptible compared to my Nikon D7000. The difference will be posted in the next batch.

The Cyanotype process produces varied results depending on three elects: sun light (very scarce here in London), the way the chemistry is applied and the density of the negative. Having a good knowledge of darkroom work is only helpful in as much as one can 'intuit' exposure time and how long to wash the final exposed paper.
