The humming bird, frozen in time...
I feel obliged to explain verbally this image, which in itself is a relatively pointless exercise, as David Lynch once said: one medium (the word) fails to explain another (an image) .
The object here photographed is a worthless, early 20th century trinket, whose value relies on its artisan workmanship, depicting (as if it is not obvious enough) an ephemeral group of flowers with a static hummingbird, both on a bed of dead leaves.

The point in this image is double: 1- to exemplify one of the principles of Dynamic Symmetry, specifically: Phi MAD (Major Area Divisions):ration:1.618; 2- and to point out yet again photography's ability to capture an instant in time.
