Pomegranate
This are not a painting. I feel obliged to explain verbally these images: The original still life photograph is lifted, raised to another level, to another interpretation, a new reality. A curator placed this final interpretation in the realm of Magic Realism, a term which is commonly applied to literature, specifically Latin American fiction. And thus attempting to bridge the gap between traditional photography and traditional painting (the repetition of 'traditional' is intended)

Still Life: Clementine
What attracted me to this lonesome clementine was its age and almost dried leaves, how they fall gently downwards... It seems that every time the post production of every photograph I take is taking me longer...
Ayasofya Camii - Hagia Sophia
The calligraphy in the main dome of Hagia Sophia is The Verse of Light — the 35th verse of the 24th surah of the Quran: "Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth".
If I told my story...
The image came to me while listening to Peter Bradley Adams' song "Who else could I be..." I photographed the dead fox by the side of the road on my walk back home.
Out of chaos, dedicated to Gaza residents.
The dried flowers
It is what it is: an imaginary landscape with a foreground of dead flowers...
Strawberries in infrared
It occurred to me, as an afterthought, to take a snapshot with an infrared filter of the already set table of strawberries. What seems apparent is the clear lines of the composition once colour had been removed as the image is transported to a different colour spectrum: the infrared.
